Cottage Hospital Auxiliary

Since 1968, the Cottage Hospital Auxiliary has steadfastly worked to support Cottage Hospital in their delivery of a positive, quality healthcare experience for our area community. The Auxiliary is a non-profit organization whose financial support for projects and initiatives come from generous donations, membership dues and fundraising events.

MISSION – The Cottage Hospital Auxiliary mission is to support the Hospital in its efforts to provide quality healthcare to residents, both permanent and seasonal. It accomplishes this mission by providing needed programs, services, and equipment, Improving the comfort of patients and their family members, and helping to improve the overall healthcare experience at Cottage Hospital.

ACTIVITIES – A principal annual fundraiser is conducted to support major needs identified by Hospital Administration. After 13 years of running a golf tournament, a “Big Ticket” Raffled was conducted in 2016 which produced over $9,000 to support the Hospital’s new Geriatric Behavioral Health 10-bed unit and in 2017 $9,500 was donated for essential new equipment in the Hospital’s Orthopedics and Radiology departments.

The Auxiliary’s other fundraising activities include hosting refreshments at the Bradford, Vt I-91 Rest Area, Thanksgiving bake sale, Memory Tree, Spring Dinner Basket Raffle and a Spring and Fall Book Fair.

MEMBERSHIP – Membership in Cottage Hospital Auxiliary is open to everyone, including hospital employees. The Auxiliary meets the second Tuesday of the month at 10:00 a.m. at Cottage Hospital with the exception of July, August and December when the Memory Tree Dedication Ceremony is conducted followed by tree trimming in the hospital.

If you would like to help contribute to our mission of supporting Cottage Hospital while having fun and enjoying camaraderie, there are various ways to be involved. If you enjoy helping others, write well, like to bake, have a green thumb, are creative, or have financial or administrative abilities…we want and need you as a member. Everyone’s participation ensures success! Annual dues are $10 or $75 for a lifetime membership. Please consider joining us!
