450 Vaccinated During Very Successful Clinic at Horse Meadow Senior Center

Posted By Dhaniele Duffy on Feb 25 2021

On Wednesday February 24, 2021, nursing staff from Cottage hospital, alongside members of Woodsville EMS worked hard all day administering vaccines to the community. Spearheading the organization of the event were Holly McCormack, Chief Nursing Officer at Cottage Hospital, as well as Richard Guy, head of Woodsville EMS.

The event went even better than one could have hoped, with volunteers administering one vaccine a minute for the entirety of the day. Community members aged 65 and above were pre-registered for the event with help from the North Country Health Consortium as well as staff at the Horse Meadow Senior Center, who manually added each patient to the CDC VAMS system in the weeks leading up to the clinic.

This interorganizational effort was a massive success, and the community was grateful to have such an easy and expertly run way to recieve their first round of COVID-19 vaccine.

Please see photos of the event below--

Holly McCormack, Chief Nursing Officer at Cottage Hospital, and Richard Guy, Head of Woodsville CMS, organized the event and ensured the day went smoothly--a special thanks to them!!
