Services:
The Surgical Services department at Cottage Hospital performs an average of 1,400 cases per year in surgical specialties including general, vascular, orthopedics, pediatrics, urology, podiatry, obstetrics and gynecology.

Many of today's surgeries are performed with the use of endoscopes, lasers and fiberoptics. Some areas of the body can now be visualized using minimally invasive technologies, facilitating the removal of appendix, gall bladder, uterus and the repair of hernias, torn cartilage or the joints and torn shoulder rotator cuffs. These procedures allow for a more rapid recovery and early return to normal activities.
