Services:
In order to allow cancer patients to stay close to home and their primary care physicians during and after treatment, Cottage Hospital has established a Cancer Management Program.
A team of oncology experts, known as "Oncology Team Conference" meets twice a month to evaluate and develop a plan of care for the cancer patients in our geographic area. Members of this team include a medical oncologist and a radiation oncologist, both from the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, and each patient's primary care doctor and surgeons from Cottage Hospital.
In this special program, Cottage Hospital provides both outpatient and inpatient chemotherapy. A special room has been designated for outpatient care, and the chemotherapy is administered by specially trained registered nurses.
