Leadership Biographies

Maria Ryan, RN, PhD– Chief Executive Officer

Ms. Ryan is a New Hampshire native. She earned an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from New Hampshire Technical Institute, a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University of New Hampshire, Master’s Degree in Nursing from Rivier College and Doctorate Degree from Warren University. She is a Board certified FNP.

Maria joined the Cottage team in 2006. Before coming to Cottage Hospital she served in many roles, from a staff nurse in the busiest ED in New Hampshire to Interim Chief Executive Officer. Maria’s capability to wear so many hats makes her indispensable to our organization.

Steven Plant -- Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Plant is a North Country native, born and raised in Littleton, NH. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire in Durham, NH and has been with Cottage Hospital for over 20 years.

In addition to overseeing Cottage Hospital’s fiscal services, Steve is also responsible for other hospital departments including Dietary, Environmental Services, and Maintenance. Steve's involvement in hospital departments helps him to make financial decisions based on more than just numbers.

Gerry Graham, Chief Human Resource Officer

Mr. Graham is Cottage Hospital’s newest leader – joining the staff in September 2008 as the Chief Human Resources Officer. He graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor’s degree in Hospital Administration and spent the last 12 years at a large hospital in the seacoast of New Hampshire.

He oversees all aspects of our Human Resources Department for over 250 employees making Cottage Hospital the biggest employer in Woodsville, NH!

Maryanne Aldrich -- Director of Community Relations & Fund Development

Ms. Aldrich joined the Cottage Hospital staff in 2008. She is a 2001 Graduate of the University of Southern Maine earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and is currently working on her MBA at Plymouth State University, Plymouth, NH.

Maryanne works closely with many departments in helping them to offer community programs; she also oversees the Volunteer Program and the Annual Appeal as well as coordinates many annual events such as our Variety Show and Road Race.
